PDR Cigars UK Tour

The first week of June saw PDR Cigars founder Abe Flores visit the UK as part of a memorable tour with the BLD team, bringing together retailers, cigar enthusiasts, and industry professionals across the country.

Our journey began in the Midlands with visits to the Havana House family. We first stopped at Havana House Stratford-upon-Avon before heading to Havana House Birmingham. Along the way, Abe also spent time with our friends at Smoke King for a box signing event, creating opportunities to share knowledge, experiences, and a mutual passion for premium cigars.

Throughout the tour, Abe shared fascinating insights into the craftsmanship behind PDR Cigars. Discussions covered everything from tobacco selection and blending techniques to wine barrel maturation, vitola development, and the dedication that goes into creating every cigar. These conversations offered a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the artistry, innovation, and passion that define the PDR portfolio.

One of the standout moments of the week came on Wednesday evening at Trent Navigation in Nottingham, where Abe joined Gauntleys Cigars for a fantastic cigar event. Guests were treated to something truly special, enjoying not only two outstanding PDR cigars but also the opportunity to spend time with Abe himself and hear firsthand about the story behind the brand.

The evening began with the smooth and flavourful El Criollito Robusto before moving on to the exceptional El Vinyet Robusto Clasico, a cigar that more than lived up to its reputation. Great cigars, great company, and plenty of laughs made for a memorable night enjoyed by everyone in attendance. A special thank you goes to Eann Taylor for once again hosting an excellent event, and to all of his loyal customers whose enthusiasm and support helped make the evening such a success.

What made the tour particularly special was the chance to connect directly with the people who bring premium cigars to enthusiasts across the UK. Bringing together retailers, cigar makers, and consumers creates an environment where stories, expertise, and enthusiasm can be shared, strengthening the relationships that make the premium cigar community so unique.

A huge thank you to the teams at Havana House, Smoke King, Gauntleys Cigars, and everyone who attended the events throughout the week. It was a fantastic few days of friendship, collaboration, education, and, of course, exceptional cigars.
